About Us
Shade and Hail Net Systems was established in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1989 and has since successfully manufactured and installed shade cloth carports and gazebos country wide and exported to America, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Greece, Spain, Australia, Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania.

Our shade cloth comes with the assurance of a superb product, checked and endorsed (report available on request) by leading South African engineering groups, Keeve Steyn Consulting Engineers & Delf Consulting Engineers.
We offer customized sizes according to your requirements because we manufacture everything ourselves.
When we quote, we can assess your requirements, recommending suitable structures such as wall mounted structures, cantilever structures and the standard 4-pole structure.
Shade cloth carports are also knows as shade netting carports or shadeports. The uses are infinite: Staff parking, Customer parking, Residential parking, at schools for playground shade cover, car dealerships, carwash bays, entertainment areas etc. We have worked in conjunction with developers and architects to provide an aesthetic solution to shade cover.

UV PROTECTION
Whether for yourself or your assets, the sun can be very damaging.
- Our shadecloth offers up to 95% protection from the sun’s damaging UV rays.
- The shade percentage specified on the netting is measured according to the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) and will not vary by more than 5% above or below the specified percentage.
- Our shade cloth incorporates the latest UV inhibitors.
FIRE RETARDANT
The netting that we use has been tested by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), who have issued a report testifying that it is not considered a fire hazard.
Substantially lower insurance premiums can be negotiated when assets are protected with one of our carports.
COST EFFECTIVE
Shade net carports don’t need municipal plans or engineer approval, making it cost effective.
You can enhance the appearance of your building after a couple of years by simply exchanging the colour of the shadecloth at a fraction of the cost of replacing a carport.
The tensile strength of the netting used not only protects your assets, but saves replacement costs during instances such as heavy hail storms.
Office blocks and shopping centers can recoup costs by charging a fee for covered parking.
